Ronnie is roaming around the states on a much deserved vacation. He was in Austin for a few days and we were able to meetup at Cycleast for a little chat. A lot has happened since the the last time we spoke back in the Fall of 2019. During the pandemic he moved back to Connecticut and ended up staying there and ramping up on his entrepreneurial efforts. What he’s been able to accomplish in the cycling industry is truly inspirational. One may be tempted to say he got there by being counter culture, but I’d argue that he has created a cycle culture that is unique to himself.
On today’s episode we learn about his early days as an erotic dancer in Austin before becoming a bike messenger and how the bike has been the center piece and driving force behind everything he does. We also get some insights into what he’s been up to with his various companies, RonsBikes.com, Ultradynamico, and Nutmeg Needleworks. And we learn what the perfect day on the bike looks like to Ronnie as well as what his idea of the perfect bike is.
I for one could listen to him talk and tell stories forever and it was a pleasure to get to catch up with him. Enjoy!
