My #bff (bike friend forever) @alryant_ graduated today with a Masters degree in Recreation Parks & Tourism from @tamu. He has taught me so much about conservation, wildlife, public lands, and on and on. He is passionate about our great outdoors and preserving them for the benefit of mankind. Theses aren’t just words. He lives by the conviction of his own moral compass and he is unshakable. People like him who are living purposeful lives and taking action to ensure a better tomorrow inspire me to be better, do better. Thank you for inspiring me. I’ll do my best to pay it forward. 🤙🏻
This is my neighbor riding towards rushing water on a flooded road. ▫️This is my neighbor turning around. ▫️Waves bye to the dangers and lives to ride again. ▫️He’s pretty excited he didn’t die.
Reflecting on yesterday’s ride. Our route was impeded by flooding, but the weather was perfect and the muted colors were subtly beautiful.
Bikes or Death: Ep. 2 - Billy Rice with Invictus is live now! (Link in profile). If you’re not familiar with Billy you are in for a treat. He is a bikepacking veteran and was the first person to yo-yo the Tour Divide. He is also a coach to top level ultra endurance athletes. In this episode he goes deep into the well and delivers some really fascinating thoughts and bikepacking, coaching, and our health/wellness. Enjoy, and don’t forget to... •Tag your friends •Subscribe to the Podcast •Leave a review 📷@inspiredtoride
Sometimes a #closedroad sign means the road is closed for real. The road was under several feet of water. We stayed there for a while and watched as nature reclaimed the land for a time. There were a ton of cranes and ducks enjoying the day and so were we.
I call this one “Fargo in Grass”.
