Ep. 126 ~ PJ Terry, Winning TNGA at 17

What were you doing at 17? Whatever it was, it’s probably not as cool as my guest today. PJ Terry just shared first place at TNGA with a time of 2d 12h 30m. He crossed the finish line with Andrew Weidrich who shares the win with PJ.

The TNGA (Trans North Georgia) is a point to point bikepacking race that traverses the state of Georgia. In total it’s 357 miles with over 56,000′ of climbing, and 18% of it is made up of singletrack. This trail is part of a larger network of trails called the Southern Highlands Traverse.

This wasn’t PJ’s first attempt at the TNGA. He participated in the 2021 edition as well at the age of 16 and placed in the top 10. With two great results at such a young age this is a dot to put on your watch list. That just leaves one question, what’s next for this rising star? Well first he’s got to finish High School, but after that I’m hoping we see him line up for some other races next summer.
