Aleś Zavoral from the Czech Republic just won the 2022 Bike Nonstop US Race with a time of 18d 11h 51m. Aleś is no stranger to racing, he’s logged 136 races in the past 13 years. I did the math, that’s 10.4 races a year! And he’s logged them all on his blog (which made my job a lot easier).
But, have you heard of the Bike Nonstop US Race?? If you’re like 80% of people I poled on instagram, and like me, then you haven’t! Aleś does a great job recapping the route in this episode, but here are the highlights.
- 3,500 miles of mixed terrain, utilizing gravel roads, rails to trails, and b roads.
- Over 100,000 ft. of elevation (most of it coming in the first half)
- Starts in Portland and ends in D.C.
Now that Aleś has seen the US from West to East he’s now setting his sites on the Tour Divide in 2024. I don’t know about you, but I’ll be following his dot!
